Systemic Lupus Research Studies

Christine Hsieh, MD is a Instructor/Rheumatologist in the Division of Rheumatology.  Her undergraduate training at Stanford University was in French and Biology.  She graduated from medical school at Upstate Medical, Syracuse, NY in 2003.  She completed her internal medicine residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and completed her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Chicago.  Since July 2009, she has been a clinical instructor at Northwestern University.  Her research has focused on the predictive value of interstitial nephritis in lupus nephritis as well as finding better ways to predict prognosis in the disease.

Major research interests:

  • SLE clinical trials

  • CTD and pregnancy

  • Inflammatory myopathies

  • Dermatologic manifestations of CTD
