Systemic Lupus Research Studies

Patricia Murphy RNC, MSN, WHNP, CNM is a Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Rheumatology. She joined the lupus program in 2008 and is currently the Project Coordinator for the Lupus Inpatient Satisfaction Research Project.  She brings her expertise in women's health and education to the team.  Ms. Murphy earned her Bachelor's degree in nursing at Northern Illinois University, Master's degree at Loyola University and Post-Master's certification at University of Illinois at Chicago.  She was awarded membership in Sigma Theta Tau, reflecting her demonstration of excellence in scholarship and exceptional achievements in nursing.

Ms. Murphy has extensive experience, working in various clinical roles, management, program planning and development.  In addition, she has authored books and videos and presented at the national level.  Ms. Murphy has developed one-on-one patient education visits in the Division of Rheumatology.  Outside of her work at Northwestern University, she volunteers at the DuPage Community Clinic.
